A richly layered 10-year-old straight bourbon developed from carefully aged stocks and matured in both Andean and American oak. Several components receive a second, double-oaked maturation, building additional texture, concentration and depth. The result is an opulent bourbon combining milk chocolate, ripe strawberry, brown sugar and sweet cream with seasoned oak and baking spice.

Nose: Milk chocolate, ripe strawberry and chai tea with brown sugar, butterscotch, light oak and subtle earthy notes.

Palate: Sweet and concentrated, with brown sugar, sweet cream and vanilla bean followed by ripe strawberry, cardamom, caramel and toasted oak.

Finish: Long and warming, with robust seasoned oak, milk chocolate, berry notes and lingering sweetness.

Distillery Information

Stillman’s Sonder was created by the Maas family as a tribute to three generations of work in the American spirits industry. The project began with exploratory American single malt distillation at MGP in Indiana between 2010 and 2016, producing barrels that were later acquired and carefully preserved by the family. Dancing Goat Distillery in Cambridge, Wisconsin subsequently led an 18-month process of analysis, blending, re-barreling and finishing to develop the final expression. The brand honors the craft and patience of the stillman while combining traditional whiskey-making with creative American cask finishing.
