Talisker is excited to unveil its latest limited-edition release, The Wild Blue – a Single Malt Scotch Whisky crafted by the sea on the rugged Isle of Skye. Drawing inspiration from Talisker’s coastal home, this expression is Talisker’s first whisky finished in rare Atlantic coastal red wine casks from South Africa, imparting a remarkable depth of flavour during a meticulous sixteen-month maturation process. The result is a distinctive Talisker expression that beautifully blends maritime smokiness with rich, deep fruit notes.

Nose: Rich, deep fruit notes.

Palate: The creamy-smooth mouthfeel introduces a big taste that starts richly sweet then quickly becomes salty, smoky and fruity, with lush, sweet hints of sultana and fig mid-palate wrapped in rising peppery spice and smokiness.

Finish: Elegant long-lasting aftertaste.

Distillery Information

Talisker Distillery, established in 1830, is located on the rugged Isle of Skye, Scotland, making it the island’s oldest working distillery. Known for its maritime influence, Talisker produces a range of single malts celebrated for their bold, smoky character with notes of pepper, brine, and a hint of sweetness. Talisker has a unique still setup, featuring swan-neck lye pipes that contribute to its distinctive, full-bodied flavor, embodying the wild spirit of Skye. Signature expressions include Talisker 10 Year Old, Talisker Storm, and Talisker 18 Year Old alongside various special releases and distillers editions.
