The Glen Grant Exploration Series celebrates ‘The Major’s’ own journey of discovery in his worldly quest to uncover unique flavours. The inaugural limited-edition release, Exploration No.1 showcases our delicately aromatic and fruity signature character, finished in exquisite rum casks, bottled at 48% ABV and non-chill filtered. After maturation in bourbon barrels, the whisky is transferred into the finest rum casks for finishing, resulting in a tropical influence of spice, rich dark sugar and ripe banana.

Nose: A tropical flair with notes of spice, rich dark sugar and ripe banana
Palate: Rich soft fruits, orange and ripe banana. Warming spices, followed by sweet vanilla and a tropical fruit flair
Finish: Lasting and creamy with fresh pineapple notes
Distillery Information
The Grant brothers, two former illegal distillers and smugglers, founded the Glen Grant distillery in 1840. James and John Grant made a sensible choice in the location for their first legal business. The distillery's site has a close proximity to a good port, Garmouth, the river Spey, and plentiful fields of barley.
