This limited-edition American single malt whiskey combines Virginia Distillery Company’s malted-barley spirit with the deep, roasted character of Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout. Made from 100% malted barley, the whiskey spends more than five years maturing in ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in casks that previously held North Coast Brewing Company’s celebrated stout. This unusual maturation adds layers of dark chocolate, roasted malt and subtle hoppy bitterness to the whiskey’s natural sweetness. The result is a rich, distinctive expression that bridges the worlds of American single malt whiskey and craft brewing.

Nose: Almond pastry, honeycomb and sweet malt lead, followed by bright citrus zest, roasted grain and hints of dark chocolate.

Palate: Dark chocolate and cocoa mingle with honeyed malt, toasted barley and roasted coffee. Citrus peel adds freshness, while subtle hop bitterness and oak provide structure and balance.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering dark chocolate, roasted malt, gentle oak spice and a faint bitterness reminiscent of stout beer.
