The Boss Hog XIII: The Golden Pharaoh is the thirteenth release in WhistlePig's annual Boss Hog series, presented as a single-barrel, barrel-strength Straight Rye Whiskey. The rye begins its maturation in new American oak before being finished in barrels seasoned with Egyptian black honey and tiger nut, creating an unusual combination of deep sweetness and toasted nuttiness. Molasses, dark honey, brown sugar, almond and cinnamon complement the whiskey's bold peppery rye character. Each barrel is bottled at its individual proof, resulting in a range of 102.6 to 105 proof.

Nose: Brown sugar, cinnamon and toasted almond with dark honey, warm baking spice, sweet oak and rich rye grain.

Palate: Rich and concentrated, with molasses, dark honey and caramelized brown sugar followed by toasted nuts, cinnamon, black pepper and robust rye spice.

Finish: Long and warming, with toasted almond, brown sugar, soft honey, mature oak and lingering peppery rye spice.
