A remarkably rare and highly collectible William Heaven Hill bourbon released in 2008 to commemorate William Heavenhill’s 225th birthday. Aged for exactly 225 months, or more than 18 years, this exceptionally mature bourbon was bottled at full barrel strength with only 225 bottles produced. Rich, powerful and deeply developed, it showcases layers of mature oak, caramel, vanilla and dark fruit with the intensity of a true cask-strength expression.

Nose: Rich caramel, vanilla and brown sugar with dark cherry, dried fruit, toasted oak, leather and warm baking spice.

Palate: Full-bodied and powerful, with deep caramel, vanilla and molasses followed by dark cherry, dried fruit and mature oak. Notes of tobacco, roasted nuts and cinnamon add further depth.

Finish: Exceptionally long and warming, with lingering caramel, vanilla, dark fruit and seasoned oak, finishing with dark spice and a gentle touch of leather.

Heaven Hill Distillery was founded in Bardstown, Kentucky, in 1935 and remains one of the largest independent family-owned spirits producers in the United States. The William Heavenhill series honors the Nelson County farmer and distiller whose name inspired the company and the original Old Heavenhill Springs Distillery. Each edition is produced in extremely limited quantities, often highlighting unique ages, proofs and maturation styles that showcase the depth of Heaven Hill’s bourbon stocks. The second edition, released in 2012, continued the series’ tradition of rare barrel-strength bourbons for collectors and enthusiasts.
