Three Whiskeys to Get You Through the Changing Seasons

Three Whiskeys to Get You Through the Changing Seasons 0

Though many of us may be hanging on, pretending that it's still summer, it's time to face facts - fall is here. Whether you've packed away your tank tops and shorts or if you're the type of person to dress for June until you start to get funny looks, eventually we all must concede that the season is changing. Stand strong, Flip Flop Warrior, you’ll be the one to judge when it’s freezing out. Not to fear, though - Cask Cartel has got you covered for premium booze all year round. Check out these three whiskeys that are perfect for the changing of the season.

Backwoods Pecan Whiskey

What could be more appropriate to open our list of autumnal whiskeys than a classic American whiskey flavored with the alluring aroma and flavor of pecans? Aged for 7 years in American oak barrels, Backwoods Pecan Whiskey is a perfect flavored whiskey for fall-themed cocktails. We're a few months away from November yet, so pick up a bottle of this smokey, nutty whiskey and pave the way for the pecan pie yet to come. For some of us, the holidays can’t get here fast enough, so this is a great way to get your fix before the holidays get here.

Caribou Crossing Single Barrel Canadian Whisky

Continuing down the path of changing leaves, chilly evenings and rides in the hay wagon, Caribou Crossing Single Barrel Canadian Whisky calls to the wild before you even open it - they put a caribou right on top of the bottle! Proving once again that our friends to the north really know what they're doing when it comes to whiskey, Caribou Crossing has imbued this spirit with a subtly fruity aroma with notes of orange caramel, giving way to a palette full of rye spice and toasted marshmallow. The bottle is a showpiece, perfect for pulling out at the end of the night for a round on the rocks.

Iron Smoke Casket Strength Straight Bourbon

Fall is a time for spooky stuff - we start ramping up the ghouls and goblins right around this time of year, building toward peak creep-factor on Halloween at the end of October. In that (haunted) spirit, we present Iron Smoke Casket Strength Straight Bourbon, an award-winning American Bourbon that comes in a bottle emblazoned with a cool skull guy smoking a pipe. Packing a powerful aroma of vanilla and western herbs with thick flavors of spice, tobacco and pecan pie, Iron Smoke Casket Strength is all about coming on strong.

It’s never a bad time for whiskey, but something about the falling leaves and crispness of the air lends itself to a snifter in the hand. Whether you're raking up leaves (or jumping into the piles), checking out the evening's football game or putting together junior's costume for All Hallows Eve, you can't go wrong with one of these whiskeys from Cask Cartel.
