Basil Hayden's Two by Two Rye Whiskey

Basil Hayden's Two by Two Rye Whiskey is a four bottle blend of 5-year-old Kentucky Straight Rye, 7-year-old Kentucky Straight Rye, 13-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon, and 6-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon. With a light-bodied, warm texture taste, this blend is perfect to serve in a cider-inspired cocktail. The finish is long, with hints of vanilla, adding an extra flavor to your drink. 

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Basil Hayden’s Two by Two Rye Whiskey
  • ½ oz fresh lemon juice
  • ¼  oz real maple syrup
  • 2 oz fresh apple cider

Simply combine lemon juice, maple syrup, whiskey and ice. Shake briefly to chill and strain over fresh ice. Top with apple cider and a garnish of sliced apples.

Jefferson’s Reserve Pritchard Hill Cabernet Cask Finished Bourbon is a tri-whiskey blend finished in ex-Cabernet Sauvignon Chappellet Wine French Oak Casks.   • 1 ¼ oz Jefferon’s Reserve Pritchard Hill Cabernet Cask Finished Bourbon
  • Hot apple cider
  • Dash of allspice
  • Tall cinnamon stick
  • Lemon slice

Simple add bourbon to your favorite mug. Fill the mug with hot apple cider and a dash of allspice. Garnish with a lemon slice and cinnamon stick.

Dos Maderas Rum

Dos Maderas Rum hails from a five-year aging process in the Caribbean. This rum is then double-barreled for another three years in Spain. This is the world’s only doubled cask aged rum. The balanced palette presents notes of tropical spices and ripe fruits, an uncanny compliment for an apple cider cocktail. With a distinctly rich and smooth taste, the smokey oak and tobacco finish makes this rum go well with just about anything. 

  • 2 oz Dos Maderas Rum
  • 1 ½ oz Apple cider
  • ¾ oz Chamomile tea
  • ¾ oz Demerara syrup
  • ½ oz Fresh lemon juice

Simply add all these ingredients into a pot and bring it to a boil. Serve in a coffee mug and garnish with a lemon wheel and fresh grated nutmeg.

Basil Hayden's Caribbean Reserve Rye

 


Inspired by the sweet and spicy contrast between rye and rum, this blend of 8-year Kentucky Rye Whiskey and 4-year Canadian Rye Whiskey is finished by adding Black Strap Rum into the cask. The growing trend of cask-finished rye brings a taste of rye and brown sweets to Basil Hayden’s Caribbean Reserve Rye, whose palette also includes a woody accent. With a molasses-sweet finish, the pleasant, lingering warmth is a great liquor to add to a nice nightcap. Inspired by a chill-summer-night-kind of beverage, try using this rye blend in a rum milk punch. 


Spiced Rum Milk Punch:

  • 1 ½ oz Basil Hayden's Caribbean Reserve Rye
  • ¾ oz simple syrup, try substituting maple syrup to better compliment the rye
  • 1 dash of pure vanilla extract
  • 3 oz milk

Simply pour these ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a chilled rocks glass and enjoy. For added flare, top with grated nutmeg or cinnamon.

  • Coffee

With a sweet and fruity style, Teeling Single Grain Irish Whiskey was aged in ex-Cabernet Sauvignon barrels. This whiskey produces tasting notes butter, honey and vanilla. The accented finish of raisins, orange peel and coconut makes this whiskey a perfect way to enjoy a classic hot toddy. Classic Hot Toddy:

  • 1 ½ oz Teeling Single Grain Irish Whiskey
  • ¾ cup water
  • 2-3 tsps of honey (to taste)
  • 2-3 tsps of lemon juice (to taste)

Simply bring the water to a boil and pour into your favorite mug, add Teeling Single Grain Irish Whiskey and your honey and lemon to taste. Allow the drink to cool a bit, and sip to your heart’s content. For added flavor, garnish with a slice or wheel of lemon, and a cinnamon stick.
